Meet the Family

Not a collection, but a family!

Here are all of our resident snakes that are part of our family. This will give you an idea of what the adults look like and get to know them better! These snakes are not for sale. Please refer to our Available Snakes if you are looking to acquire a snake.

Azazel

Azazel is a normal looking California Kingsnake, although she does have a solid black belly. This occurs when a snake is het for hypermelansim. She is het for both hypermelanism and albinism. She was produced by Eric Kikel in 2016, and acquired by The Sassy Snakes in 2020. She’s a very sweet girl and a very patient mate. She can be quite shy, but is still curious. She often knows when it’s time for food and will give a snake version of “puppy dog” eyes.

Isaac

Isaac is a Blizzard California Kingsnake, meaning that he is expressing both hypermelanism and albinism. He was produced by Eric Kikel in 2019 and acquired by The Sassy Snakes in July of 2021. He’s a very active boy who’s very curious about all of his surroundings and loves to explore. He is also very food motivated outside of breeding season, so he must be handled very carefully.

A sketch painting Carrie made of Isaac!

Aziraphale

A very special boy! Aziraphale is a Lavender Snow, which means he is expressing both the lavender and hypermelanism genes giving him a pearlescent appearance that’s hard to capture on camera. He’s a very sweet boy, who started out quite shy but over time has become more confident and curious. When he hears me in the room he will often come to the front of his enclosure and “ask” to explore by showing interest in coming out. He was produced by Eric Kikel in 2020 and acquired by The Sassy Snakes as a hatchling. He’s named after one of the main characters in the novel Good Omens by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman turned which has also become a miniseries on Amazon.
